Gerald Asamoah

A man with a heart

Gerald Asamoah was born in Mampong, Ghana, on 3 October 1978. He has been living in Germany since the age of 12, when his family moved to Hanover. He now lives in Gelsenkirchen. Gerald Asamoah is married to Linda and is the proud father of three children. Asa – as his friends call him – is a devout Christian and has always done a great deal of charity work. For example, he is highly committed to stamping out racism.

A footballer with a heart

When Asa is on the pitch, he plays to attack but his attacks look playful. This unique combination is precisely what has made him so successful:
